Falling For Disney
On the 4th of February1990 NBC aired a TV special called “Disneyland’s 35th Anniversary Celebration” which, through a series of sketches set in Disneyland, celebrated the spirit of the park.

Some time later, I’m not sure exactly when, during a certain Easter celebration, I pulled up a soft matress, grabbed some chocolate eggs and turned on the television.
The special was on. Still a young child, no pondering about my future could have prepared me for the lifelong consequences of watching this show. The eggs lay uneaten, while my heart fell into a warm and comfortable place. I was at Disneyland once more, though I hardly realised I had ever been. Somehow, it all made sense. I knew how it felt to be there. Home.
I would pull from this a certain and undying love for Disney, which may have wayned a bit during my teenage years, but which now urges me to return to the parks and keep myself buried in Disney.
The Journey
The Disney theme parks are my second home. At times, especially when I’ve been away from the parks for a while, it feels like my first. It’s been seven years since my last visit to Disney. My bones are becoming heavy and my feet restless. I must return.
This blog will allow you to follow me as I continue my neverending journey to the parks. In it’s current incarnation (“Mark I” – You’ll understand the ‘Mark’ bit if you’re a Disney geek!), this blog will focus on my preparations and sejours at The Disney Resort Paris.
I hope, as a Disney fan you will find a freind and fellow dreamer to connect with, and as a non Disney fan, a freind and a peep into the magical world of Disney.
